How pheasable would a trip along the east coast of US be in a kayak?

Basically I have been thinking a lot lately about doing this, I regularly go several miles out in the ocean fishing out of my kayak. And have been thinking about just taking off one day along the coast towards a destination of florida. (from delaware) So in your opinions the average cost of the trip would be, wanting to penny pinch as much as possible. Water and rice wouldn’t bother me one bit. As I’m an avid fisherman and could easily get a fish here and there for extra protein. Also, I have a sail rig constructed for my kayak that would assist me in my journey.That being said, Looking for some opinions on this idea.

Any good spots in S-Cal for a beginner ocean kayak fisherman to try out?

im looking for a kayak to mostly fish out of in freshwater and ocean. occasionally dive out of but mostly fish. im looking into the ocean kayak trident 11 or 13 and the heritage redfish angler 12. anyone have a good opinion on any one of these or another good one to check into. i want something big enough to haul all day fishing gear, maybe some dive gear, or hunting gear during season. but not too big where i cant handle hauling it by myself…..any input will help, thanks

I was hoping for some recomendations for what kind of rod and reel to get to do some ocean kayak fishing. Mostly for rock fish. Any tips on types of lures would be helpful as well. I am on the central california coast as well. Thanks
