I tried it and didn’t care for it. If you get into shallow water with out a paddle you will need to get out of your yak. Know a few people who love them though. My favorite fishing kayak is a 10′ Mainstream Streak, I have two rod holders mounted and a portable fishfinder on it and I love fishing from this thing. Oh yeah, the drive system works great, if your in water 2′ or deeper.
