Both, there are many combined versions, the fish finder helps you locate the fish and depth whilst the GPS takes you to where you last caught something, garmin and Navman have worked the best for me. http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/us/onthewater
If you be usin’ it in the Ocean (lotta’ water out there 😉 ), I personally would want both ie., a GPS Fishfinder Combo. They can get expensive so it’s really goin’ to depend on how much your inta’ the new trend of the fishing ski vessels. Link below is one that I just picked at random but, it’ll give ya’ some information regardin’ them. Hope it helps ;)… < ' ( (( > <

I agree with FishSteelhead & Airflow.
Both would be nice.
It really depends on WHERE you intend to fish on a regular basis.
I fish mainly lakes/streams with my ‘yak and don’t need the GPS option. If I was in a saltwater marsh hunting Redfish or Offshore(100 yards off the beach) fishing for smoker Kings, I would probably WANT that GPS feature.

It’s all a matter of “where”.
